Parc Multisports in Saint-Jérôme
This park is on all our lists. Favourite for big-kids, favourite of ALL TIME. Ya, it’s really, really awesome. If you want something totally unique, this is it. Bonus: There’s a great splash pad here and a nature park just steps away.
Nathan Shuster Park in Côte-Saint-Luc
Number two on our favourites list, this park is requested by both kids over and over.
Great for toddlers AND big kids (though it’s a bit spread out), what sets this park apart is the amazing zipline and the rope and stone obstacle course. It’s also the only playground to get its own StrollerParking video (usually reserved for splash pads 😉 )
Morgan Park in Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve
I had TWO big-kids with me on this trip and they LOVED this entirely renovated park. The climbing structure is amazing, there’s place to run around, and the splash pad with its meandering RIVER made it into our “Favourite Splash Pads“. There’s also a great toddler area but everything is quite far apart.
Carlos-d’Alcantara Park in Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve
This massive park has a good play structure for older kids, the gorgeous climbing wall pictured above, an adjoining basketball court and outdoor fitness equipment, and a small play area geared towards kids 12+.
Quai-de-la-Tortue Park in Verdun
This park was a HUGE hit. It’s totally unique in that the play structure is ELECTRONIC. Once you figure out the games, you’ll work up a sweat! Bonus: A great toddler area just beside, a really cool splash pad down the colourful path, and a fantastic view of the river. Bring along your skateboards or bikes and you can also go for miles down the walking/bike paths all along the water.
du Vaisseau-d’Or Park in Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve
This is a pretty intricate climber, with a frightening spider-looking dude just beside. Add in a cool pirate-ship themed splash pad and it makes for one great park.
Goncourt Park in Anjou
With a play structure that’s more like an obstacle course, the bigger kids will be kept occupied climbing, swinging, and literally crawling through hoops.
Parc Champdoré in Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension
This new playground has been completely redone, and the star of the show is the tall and intricate metal “Tree”. Perfect for big kids who like to climb high and give you a heart attack as they balance across ropes.
Sainte-Odile Park in Ahuntsic-Cartierville
The big-kid area has been completely redone and all the ropes were a big hit with both kids.
Jeanne-Mance Park in Le Plateau-Mont Royal
Also on our “Favourites Parks for Toddlers” list, the large big-kid area here is FULL of ropes. Ropes to climb, swing from, and cross. There’s also a load of swings, and some funky items like a rope saucer swing and musical instruments! Bonus: Lots of room to run around, the great toddler area, and a wading pool. During the summer there are also food trucks across the street!
Pierre Elliott Trudeau Park in Côte-Saint-Luc
This park is BOTH kids number ONE favourite playground, We don’t do a lot of repeat visits, but we played here three times in one summer. This futuristic rope structure gives tons of climbing and swinging opportunities. Also try out the pedal boats, or the small splash pad!
Martineau Park in LaSalle
We’ve been here a couple of times, and the new play structures got a thumbs up from my 10-year old. Lots to climb!
Saint-Paul-de-la-Croix Park in Ahuntsic-Cartierville
This brand new playground has a great play structure, a massive cable climber, and a whole section for kids 13 and over! Cool.
Philippe-Laheurte Park (part 2) in Saint-Laurent
Another park that’s also on our “Favourites Parks for Toddlers” list! The tower at this park is petrifying (to me), making it a win for older kids!
We’ve been here many, many times and even had the 10-year olds birthday party here.
Parc des Mésanges in Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot
Come here for the pumptrack. AWESOME.
Delpha-Sauvé Park in Sallaberry-de-Valleyfield
It’s a 2-storey pirate ship! And while that would be enough, plan to spend the day at this park. The adjoining pool looks phenomenal, and there’s also a separate splash pad, fields to run through, and hills to roll down. Also, the view is gorgeous.
Olympique Park in Pincourt
It’s rare to find a tall tower, and this new play structure will thrill those looking for some height, and two awesome tube slides.

Windsor Park in Dorval
Honestly, the rest of this park is really blah, but there’s a brand new ZIPLINE that makes up for that.
J.D.-Ducharme Park in LaSalle
This entire park was ridiculous with a million-and-one things to play on and an elaborate big-kid climber. Bonus: A small splash pad nearby.
Parc du Bassin-à-Gravier in Le Sud-Ouest
Rope, rope, and more rope. It’s not bit, but it’s different. There’s also a great view of downtown Montreal, a splash pad, and the nearby Lachine Canal.
Honourable Mention: Memorial Park in Stowe, Vermont
It’s a bit of a drive, but if you’re in the Stowe area, you MUST play at this park. I cried, for real. It’s like the house in The Swiss Family Robinson movie.
