Arthur-Séguin Park

This little neighbourhood park has a cute fully-fenced and gated toddler play area with a picnic table, and both big-kid and baby swings. A play “boat” by Kompan, and a small easy-to-navigate climber by Landscape Structures with stairs, wide platforms, the Driver’s Panel, and a slide for the littles. The motorcycle spring rider is a favourite, and if you have a dinosaur lover, there is a very cool surprise hidden in the sand near the Funny Bones ribcage! (I’ve added a picture in the gallery for scale.) Besides the grassy bits around the edges, the toddler section is all on sand, with some good shade in the morning AND afternoon!

Across the path and closer to the tennis courts is the big-kid park (on wood chips) with some modern items like the metal Kompan structure with ropes and spinners. I had to save my husband from the vomit-inducing spinner bowl when he spun out of control.  “Heeeeeelp. Meeeeeee!” “Please!”. There are also a couple of swings and an impossibly complex spider web climber by Berliner . The whole thing is not far from the toddler section, but doesn’t have a great sight line if you’ve got kids in both areas.

Behind the big kid section is a safe field for before-nap, running-off-energy playing.

It seems like this park should have a water fountain, but we looked and looked and didn’t see one. There’s a chalet that is sporadically open if there’s a group meeting or event, but I’ve marked the bathroom situation as zilch.  (edited: there are summer camps running all summer so the chalet is open from 8-6ish)

It’s too bad Ed’s convenience store is no longer across the street, that would make for easy popsicle runs!

Side note: My toddler spent 10 minutes in the park (“driving” of course), and 20 minutes playing in the bike rack. Weirdo. We also saw a bunny who sat there for 10 minutes and washed his tummy and face. Awwwww
