Brockville, Ontario – Rotary Park

A BIG thank-you to my friend Diane (owner of Action Scuba in Pointe-Claire, check it out!), who snapped some photos of the playground at Rotary park while she was in Brockville with her two little boys.

Rotary Park has a small, fully accessible playground on a poured-in place rubber base, and there are wheelchair accessible activities at ground level as well as on the “first floor” once you ascend the ramp. Drums, steering wheel, a corner store window, and musical tubes to bang. The play structure also features an easy-to-climb staircase, ladders, and multiple slides.

The rest of the park has a brand new splash pad(!), accessible washrooms, basketball, hockey, a skate park and winter rink, and something I’ve never seen before, a pump track from Ontario Bike Park Construction. I want one.

I found this fantastic video from Alan Medcalf – City of Brockville Cycling Committee – who gives you a tour of all the features in the park, including the pump track.
