Cedar Park Heights Park

This park has a nice little fenced and gated toddler park with ground level games from Landscape Structures that include a tic-tac-toe wall, a marble maze, image panel, and a sifting table; the little sand table by Kompan; baby swings; a dog-spring rider; and a 4-toddler spring rider.

The climber from Jambette is small but with quite a lot packed into it, BUT then you notice there are no stairs. My little guy can’t climb ladders yet so I had to hoist him up, then stop him from flying back down from the small landing, before going down the double slides. Luckily for us, the steering wheel is UNDER the climber so he was happy to play down there for a while.  There’s also a dinosaur tic-tac-toe panel, and a slanted rock climbing wall for adventurous little ones.
Just outside the fence is one of those bizarre trampolines that yes, I always thought was an unfilled pond. The toddler park is nicely shaded with mature trees.

The big-kid play area (on wood chips) is across the path and doesn’t have a great line of sight with the toddler area. There is a stand-alone metal-rung ladder climber, a large-ish play structure by GameTime with wide platforms leading to the Challenge Canyon Bridge, sky wheels, steering wheel and twirly slide. There are also four big swings. The climber has nice, easy stairs that then end with through-the-air horizontal steps across to the higher part and twirly slide. It also has metal rungs and ladders, a steering wheel, and sky wheels.

NEW IN 2020 is the addition of wheelchair-accessible sensory panels along a smooth path.

There’s a small forest just past the playground with paved walking trails that loops around to a couple of streets and comes out to beside the baseball field.

I added some extra pictures of the Cedar Park chalet since so many people are interested in renting it. There are 6′ tables, chairs, a full kitchen with stove and fridge, a bathroom, and the outside patio. There is plenty of space outside the chalet for tables or even a bouncy castle and the two playgrounds are a little ways down the path so you probably won’t have rogue kids wandering over to your party. If you have more questions, call Pointe-Claire!
RENTAL INFO HERE. Look under “Rentals”. The phone number is near the bottom of the page.

We parked just off Douglas-Shand on Oakridge, but there is also a parking lot at the end of Robinsdale Avenue beside the pool and tennis courts.
