Chaumette Park

“Yes!”
“Oh. No.” 🙁

Our first foray into Ile Bizard playgrounds and we were thrilled to find this one just off the main road. The climber from Miracle Recreation looked new and shiny and big!
But then the toddler stood underneath it and said “Too big for Hamy!”
(“Hamy” is what he calls himself, and well, so do we now)

It IS a great climber, but the sticker on the side that says for kids “2-12” is lying. Ummmmm, not quite.
The ONLY way to get up to the “toddler” platform and slides is on a high metal rung ladder. Not going to be happening.
Older kids will be able to climb that and the myriad of other ways up; “leaf” ladder, colourful red and blue wheels, a rubber/chain net climber, and another super high metal ladder. There’s also a steep slide, stand-up spinner to make them nauseous, and another wheel to hang onto and spin. Don’t fill them up with slushies before coming here!
My 7-year old would have been really happy with the climber, we just would have liked something more for the little guy.

There are four great ride-ons for little kids. An ATV and Lucky the Ladybug, and two more from Jambette: A ROWBOAT, and a SNOWMOBILE! So cute. Rounding out the equipment are baby and big swings.

There’s a lovely green space in which to run, and a nice covered picnic table. The playground is fenced but with open gates.
