Sainte-Adèle – Claude-Henri-Grignon Park

On a recent (very) short overnight trip to Sainte-Adèle, I decided to pack a picnic dinner rather than bring two tired (and probably dirty) kids to a restaurant.
Where they probably wouldn’t sit still. Probably wouldn’t eat the food. And then we’d all be crabby.

I’d scoped out some near-to-our-hotel parks and this one looked promising. And it was super great!
We parked in the spaces off of Rue Sigouin and lugged our 30 pound cooler to the gazebo-covered picnic table, but decided to play first because there were some new-to-us climbers and the really impressive 3d climbing structure BLOQX 3 from Kompan.
All of the equipment here is by Kompan and though we’ve seen the toddler climber before it’s always interesting because it has so many little bits all over to discover. There are wide stairs, ropes and platforms, and walls to touch. The whole toddler section is on a bright rubber base and this area and the splash pad fountain area are wheelchair accessible. There is also a wheelchair ramp leading from the covered structure on Boulevard de Sainte-Adèle where the summer farmers’ markets is held, to the park below. (Also note that the building washrooms are accessible from May-September from 9-9 and lock automatically outside of those hours.)
There are bowl spinners and spring riders in the toddler section and it is right beside the small circular splash pad.
No fencing but it is all set back quite far from the road.
Beside the toddler area is the 6-12 section where everything is on wood chips including big and baby swings. There is a fun climber here that has lots of ropes to climb, an impressive view from the top, a high slide, and when you get tuckered out there’s a hammock seat underneath.
The boys checked out the give a book/take a book self-serve library and then finally we got to eat!
I would for sure come back if we visit this way again, or even as a pit stop if we’re heading further up north as it’s not far off the highway.
