Councillors Park

Another park that took three trips before I could get pictures!
This is a reallllly pretty park with gorgeous gardens and mature trees which offer plenty of shade over the play areas.
The first two times we visited the toddler area was filled with daycare kids, but on an early morning we happened to find it empty.
Besides the NEW splash pad there is a toddler area that is mostly fenced, and an area for older kids just beside it. And flowers, so many pretty flowers!

The toddler area has the super cute Dino Climber that is a nice introduction to climbing and sliding. Small enough for even the littlest kiddos. There are also some spring riders, rubber mounds to climb up and jump off from, and a tallish play structure with stairs, ladders, and a double slide.
Just steps away is the bigger climber with a tall slide and monkey bars. There are both baby and adult swings as well.

The older wading pool was just recently converted into a small splash pad with products from Vortex. There are misters and a tall dripping flower to dance under. The area is totally fenced and gated with some benches inside and washrooms nearby. Special thanks to Lorraine Goh for letting me use her two pictures of the new water features as of course I’d gone before it was all done.

Things to note:
-The new splash pad is on daily from 10am-8pm. There is a 10-second delay from when you press the button to when the water sequence turns on. Details HERE. (Apparently this splash pad is now for residents only.)
-Street parking is available on surrounding streets.
-The toddler area is mostly fenced but has an opening towards the middle of the park.
