de Champagne Park

While visiting Parc des Chenaux, I thought it was odd that there wasn’t another playground for this entire neighbourhood. A quick phone search on Google Maps showed nothing else, so I switched to Google Satellite and TADA! Something colourful and playground-looking just a couple of minutes away.

We headed over and found…a splash pad! A very colourfully painted (done by Tennis Mapa Inc.) and interesting splash pad with products by Waterplay Solutions Corp. with two different sections (and two turn-on sensors). BUT, note that there is no playground here at all, it is simply the splash pad.
I love that there is a toddler area with smaller sprays like the I-Spy Storm tornado tube, Mini Squirt, and Fun-brella; and that bigger kids can enjoy the Twist ‘n’ Spill dumping bucket, and Spiral Spray.
It is quite close to the road and has no fencing and also backs onto a the giant wall of some industrial building. But, it still manages to be quite pretty with trees, benches and some landscaping.
I probably wouldn’t drive out here just for the water games, but this is really cool spot to have if you live in the neighbourhood.

I didn’t take any pictures, so enjoy the (shaky) video! There was a toddler pulling my leg, what can ya do?!

-The splash pad is on from 9am-8pm daily. Press the sensors to turn on the water.
