des Pins Park

I feel like this will be a good park. When it’s basically completely redone. Which I think will be rather soon judging by the state of it.

At this little park you’ll find a terrible play structure, a surprisingly fun old-school merry-go-round (as an aside, a film production company contacted me a while back looking for one of these to use for a shoot and now I’m seeing them everywhere it seems!), a metal climber, and baby and adult swings.
There’s a nice tree shading part of the play area, with a picnic table underneath.

What would I do with this park? Keep everything but the play structure, and buy a 2-in-1 toddler/big kid combo that different ages can enjoy. Paint the swing set and the metal climbers, and add in a couple of spring riders or a ground-level playhouse.

I’ll consider this visit “the before”. 😉

Things to note:
-The park is fenced but not gated.
-Everything is on sand.
-There’s a drinking fountain!
-My 5-year old said the park “smells like pickles.” What? He was, in fact, telling the truth. Perhaps someone was canning? Anyhoo.
