des-Saints-Anges Park

Well that was a weird little park. Or is it an archaeological site? Actually, it’s both!
You can read more about Fort-Rémy and the original wood chapel which stood in this spot HERE and HERE
It seemed rather strange to be climbing the old stone foundations, but the toddler wasn’t all that enthused with the actual play equipment at the park.
There’s not a whole lot of actual playground “stuff”, just a play structure, though it is pretty cute with its stairs and multiple slides. But, it’s also really overgrown with weeds.
Have a stroll around, read the plaque on the chapel replica, watch a train roar past on the tracks which are RIGHT beside the park, and then skedaddle to somewhere a bit more exciting.

If coming by car, you can park on the street on Rue Maria (north of the park).
