des Tuileries Park

Late in the season but we had the chance to visit another (small) playground in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
Stuck between houses, it felt a bit like we were in someone’s backyard, and without any trees (there are some itty-bitty saplings) it’s all very open and…well, a bit stark.
BUT, we did like the two play structures by Jambette. And because the park is small, they are right beside each other which made it easy for me with both kids.

The toddler climber has wide, easy stairs with safe handrails. There are two mini steering wheels, binoculars pointed right at the neighbours home (“hello!”), a slanted climbing wall, and tandem slides. Cute, and kept him happy while his older brother scaled the big climber.
We’ve seen this imaginative large play structure at a couple of parks and it’s great for older kids who likes heights and even has two different kinds of rock climbing walls. There’s also the creative crab-like ladder, a fireman pole, rope ladder, and various metal ways to climb up. Definitely for older kids as there are no stairs or easy to reach platforms.

There are also two big and two baby swings, and a picnic table in the centre of the park.

Fencing on three sides but completely open to the road and zero shade. You can tell how sunny it is in the summer just from how faded the plastic is on the climbers, which have only been installed since 2009.

So, while it’s not a big park, it has some good equipment that is a step up from what we usually see in a “neighbourhood” playground.
