du Belvédère Park

We set out early on a brisk September morning, GPS in hand, only to find that every park we were looking for was just a greenspace.
Argh.
Finally, after about four tries, we found this park.
With play equipment.
Yeah!
The toddler climber from Landscape Structures is ridiculously cute and we’ve only see the Critter Canyon climbing wall a couple of times.  There’s also an ABC ramp and the curved Cozy Climber but the little guy couldn’t figure out how to get up any of them. So there was much hoisting of his little bum. Once they’re up there’s a periscope on one level, and slides on both ends.
We sat in the sand for a bit and pointed at all the animals and images on the Critter Canyon. Hello sun! Hello caterpillar!

All the equipment is together in the same area, and in the surrounding sand are a couple of little benches, a sand digger, four baby and six big-kid swings, a stand-alone rock climbing wall, and the big-kid climber.
The large climber doesn’t have a staircase, but there are levels that he was able to climb with some help. There are a few slides and monkey bars, but sadly, no steering wheel.

The thing that the little one had the most fun with was the swings. Maybe because he’s learned how to say “push” and “more”?
He also tried out the “big boy swings” and was thrilled that he didn’t topple off 🙂
No fences except for the token chain along the edge, but it is a quiet area. And not only are there benches, but there is a trio of picnic tables along the edge of the play area, and just beside the small wooded section.
