Dunkerque Park

This was a bright and colourful park, with two interesting play structure, and some adorable spring riders.

Skipping up the path, my little one beelined for the larger climber, I think he was intrigued by the blue shade canopy (which won’t actually shade all that much, but is still eye-catching.)
But then…was a little stuck. Without stairs, or any easy ways up, this climber is definitely for older kids who should enjoy the rope “funnel”, the cool rock-climbing wall, monkey bars, swinging balance pods, and slides. There’s also an overhead spinner that is always too tall for anyone – including my 9-year old – to reach.

So we toddled to the toddler section and tada! Lots for him to do. He LOVED the trio of spring riders and raced both the ladybugs and the bumblebee, then set about exploring the toddler play structure. There aren’t stairs, but little ones should be able to climb the bumpy Tot Rock Climber to reach the little slide; or can continue through the crawl tube and up the small staircase to the twirly slide. At ground level is a little window and a bell that is fun to ring. Again, and again. And then twenty-two more times. 

Things to note:
-The toddler section is fenced on three sides, but with open gates.
-Both areas are on sand. 
-There are lots of trees throughout the park, but none throwing any shade over the play areas.
-There are tons of benches and I saw at least one picnic table.
