After completing the Mud Hero race on Mont Saint-Bruno (I trailed after the kids on the little course, not the crazy adult course. AHAHAHAHA! ), we needed a place to unwind from the excitement and a shady spot to eat our picnic. After doing a quick Google search, a 5 minute drive brought us to the town of Saint-Julie and this fantastic park with a picturesque lake to eat beside.
This is one of those parks with everything. Tennis courts, baseball, fields to run around in, a small swimming/wading pool, spots to picnic, FREE canoe and pedal boat rentals, and a GREAT playground by Tessier Récréo-Parc. The two sections are both on wood chips and have fantastic play structures from GameTime. We had an 8, 5, and 3.5 year old and they were all super pleased with the various equipment. The bigger ones beelined for the huge Berliner rope climber, while I stood at the bottom trying to figure out if there was a way I could contort myself into it (there was not), so instead I climbed up one of the ladders to the mega slides and screamed my way down. Ow.
There are balance beams and boulders and mushrooms to hop across, stand-up spinners, sky wheels, and swings. It’s all pretty much full sun, but there are trees and shade around the edges.
The toddler area has a bit of shade with some picnic tables, and the climber here also has an adorable table underneath. And yes, we crammed all of us into it while the kids took our restaurant orders. “Coffee! More coffee!”
My little one loved the slanted rope spider web, and was easily able to access the platforms and slides. There are metal cloverleaf climbers, balance beams, vine climbers, and a small rock-climbing wall. Everything is new and clean.
Then it was time to eat and we found the perfect spot beside the lake and within view of a crane fishing for his lunch.

Enter the park from Rue des Brisses and there is a large parking lot right beside the pool and playground.
