Eugène-Dostie Park

This is a HUGE park with a large assortment of facilities and equipment including:
Two beach volleyball courts; tennis courts; baseball, soccer, and football fields; a skate park; a municipal pool; bocce; and a large chalet that’s been open every time we’ve needed it!
Oh, of course there’s also a playground, AND, new since July 21st 2017 is the SPLASH PAD which has replaced the aging wading pool adjacent to the swimming pool.

The new splash pad by Vortex features a quieter area for smaller kids, and the giant Superwave for those who want to be engulfed in a waterfall. The Superwave has also been installed at the new splash pad in Pointe-Claire and is a MASSIVE hit, as kids stand underneath waiting for the wheel to turn. “3, 2, 1, Eeeeeeee!”
The splash pad is right next to the chalet and pool, is not fenced (so you can go in and out as you please), and has benches for your towels and 10,000 snacks. There are three ‘magic buttons’ to turn on the water in the different areas.

The playground here is rather odd. It has a fantastic section on poured-in-place rubber with four adaptive swings. FOUR! But then there is nothing else in the park that’s accessible because everything else is on sand.
The older play structure from GameTime is pretty decent, but could use a scrub and a fresh coat of paint to cover the rust. There are stairs, a metal bridge, slides and climbing walls, a steering wheel and activity panel. In the surrounding sand is a large dinosaur spring rider, two baby, and two adult swings. Nearby are benches and picnic tables and the chalet is just steps away.

Things to note:
-The hours for the boroughs other two splash pads are 8:30-8:30, so I’ll assume this one is the same.
-The playground is in full sun. There is no fencing at all, but it’s not at all near the road.
-I parked at the giant lot off of Boulevard Chèvremont. You can also use the lot off Montée de l’Église, behind the library and closer to the chalet.
-According to THIS PAGE, the pool is accessible to non-residents for a small fee.
-If the chalet happens to be locked, there’s a porta-potty near the football field.
