Evergreen Park

It’s a 2-for-1 special! We had just visited Terry Fox Park, and were going to head home when my 6-year old said “What’s over there?”
What? Wait. It’s another park! As it wasn’t listed as a separate park on Google Maps (our official park finder), I had just assumed is was some greenspace tacked onto Terry Fox.
We wandered down the path, with a watchful eye to the darkening clouds, and found a playground geared to big kids. The climber from Landscape Structures is large and spread out, but no stairs to access the top. This is a real no-go for toddlers. There is the Cliff Climber scaling wall with rope, lots of metal rungs including the Double Wave Climber, slides and ladders and off in the sand is a tire swing!
There are ONLY big swings here, but if you do come with a toddler, they’d probably enjoy Lucky the Ladybug spring rider.

Then…..it started to pour and we ran back to the car.
Not a ton of shade even though the path itself is shaded. Washroom facilities are located right next door at Terry Fox park, so I’m putting a “yes” for bathrooms.
