Ignace-Bourget Park

I put a lot of pictures in the photo gallery, because there’s a lot of stuff at this park!
There’s the running track, the sledding hill(s), the sports fields, the giant all-season disc golf course (check out that great park map in the link!), a fancy dog run, skate park, a municipal pool and a wading pool. Oh, and playgrounds of course.

We found street parking right on Avenue de Montmagny, near the pool and playground, and skedaddled over to the play areas. You’ll notice that the section for older kids is all-new, while the toddler playground is…not.
Not that toddlers ever notice these things, but parents do!

The section for kids 5-12 has a fancy new Playworld play structure with a myriad of ladders to climb, funky slides, balance beams, and is connected to a large cable climber. My little guy couldn’t get up anything but was happy trying to find the “chasse aux trésors” images scattered around the play equipment. This whole area is redone including concrete borders, park benches, and aromatic wood chips.
The toddler area is quite a big space, and though it’s fully fenced, there are no gates. Kids can pick from two sets of baby swings, an itty-bitty slide that’s perfect for first-timers, a ride-on dinosaur, the dino stairs/slides combo, and a fairly large play structure compete with (steep) stairs, a bridge, slides, and TWO steering wheels. Bring a friend for a driving adventure.
I’m guessing that this whole area will eventually get redone, but I haven’t seen anything mentioned. Yet.

Things to note:
-Go for a walk around the rest of the park and you can see the amazing-looking sledding hill, check out the disc golf course, and run around the fields. -We wanted to peek inside the fancy new chalet, but it was locked when we visited 🙁 You can see the opening hours HERE
-For pool and wading pool hours and info, you can check HERE and HERE
