L’Archeveque Park

We were driving along aimlessly, enjoying our berry smoothies, when we happened across this park. “Ooooooooo, a park!” said the little one. (350 later and he’s still excited 🙂 )

There’s easy street parking on both sides of the playground and we puttered up the path, past the benches and garden, and started playing in the big-kid playground. The little one was super interested in the bubble climbing wall but couldn’t reach any of the other ladders or monkey bars and rings. Big kids who like climbing and swinging will enjoy this fitness-based apparatus. Just beside the climber are four swings and there was great shade when we visited around 11am on a sunny day.

Towards the middle of the park and beside the EIGHT baby swings and Kompan seesaw, is the toddler climber from GameTime. There’s no staircase but the first platform is just one step up from the sand so it’s not a high climb. The two little sections are connected by some stepping stones through the “lava” and we went from one side to the other trying to avoid scorching our toes. Then it was time to play “garbage truck” and I drove the steering wheel while he went up and down the slides and clover leaf climber.
Further down the path is another section on sand with more Kompan spring riders, a spinning seat and two sand diggers. All the toddler equipment was in full sun, though there is a little grove of trees just beside it. And while the park is fully fenced there are no gates.
We wandered around and had some water at the drinking fountain, walked across the concrete circle path, and actually stopped to smell the flowers.
