Louise-Deschênes Park

On a calm September morning I really wanted to go to a park near the water. So instead of heading south, we went north and ended up at this little park.
I only had the small boy with me and the play structure here by Landscape Structures was HUGE. With a hoist I was able to get him up to the first platform and we played (carefully) on the different levels and he got to vroom-vroom with the steering wheel panel. There are lots of drop offs so be extra careful with little ones.
There are a couple of steep slides, four different kinds of metal ladders, and lots of monkey bar type things including the Loop Horizontal Ladder, the Triple Ring Fling, the Ring Bridge, and the Single Beam Loop Horizontal Ladder. That’s a lot of swinging!
There’s also the summit mountain to climb up which the older one would have liked. As well, there are baby and big swings.

We looked longingly at the water, thinking we weren’t able to reach it, but there’s a gate!
The “beach” was pretty clean so we sat and threw rocks and sighed with contentment.

There are quite a few picnic tables and benches around the park and a….lawn bowling lane? Pétanque?

I probably wouldn’t come back just with the little guy as there really isn’t a suitable climber for him, but we had a nice time nonetheless.
