Meadowbrook Park

Another park that I’ve driven past countless times, and each time I had a quick look, said “meh” and we continued somewhere else.
We’re just about finished with all of Beaconsfield parks (edited: we’ve seen them all now), so we resigned ourselves to playing here.
Well, it was better than I thought it would be!

Despite being THISCLOSE to the highway, and the noise of the trucks, trains and cars, it was quite nice!
There are some beautiful mature trees and there is enough shrubbery to slightly mask the highway. And it smelled great! I think the sunshine and the crisp autumn day and the maple trees all contributed.
Both the toddler and big-kid sections are on sand, and there is no fencing despite the business of Beaurepaire Drive. I parked on one of the side streets because I was afraid of getting sideswiped on the busier main road.
We started with the toddler climber from Landscape Structures which has stairs, four slides, a tube tunnel, the Cozy Climber arched ladder, and steering wheel panel. The baby swings are also on this side along with a Rhino-dino spring rider and a bench.
Just a bit away and separated by some grass and a picnic table, is the bigger kid section. There’s no real play structure but there are some random things like the TALL metal slide with ridiculously steep stairs, a stand-alone colourful tunnel, big swings, and an old-school metal climber.

I felt badly that I’d never wanted to stop here before.
Sorry park!
