Noël-Sud Park

The toddler and I had SUCH a good time at this park. There is a ton to do with five different sections; two for smaller kids, two for 5-12 year olds, AND an outdoor gym for adults!
I could barely pry the little guy out of the super cute Kompan fire engine to see all the other features, and I can’t blame him. The truck has two steering wheels, knobs to turn, steps to climb, an opening to go underneath, and even a megaphone to call for backup! Every time we visit a park that has a schoolbus, or a truck, of a jeep that he can ride in and steer; I think “Every playground should have something like this!” Because kids just LOVE them.

There are also baby swings and a little ride-on ambulance. First time that we’ve seen both this firetruck AND the ambulance.
Just next door is one of our favourite climbers. This large truck/house combo by Kompan has two different sides, one with platforms to access the binoculars and the small slide, and the other side has rope ladders, metal rungs to climb, a steep wall with hand/foot holds, place underneath to sit, things to turn…and is just really interesting and creative. There is also the giant Garden Seesaw and some sit/stand spinners.
While it isn’t fully fenced there is some fencing and is also inset with a rock wall around parts. There are benches and a couple of picnic tables. The are beautiful mature trees here and while it was overcast when we visited, there should be some good shade throughout the day. 

Behind this part and closer to the road are the big-kid swings, and a large climbing structure by GameTime. Tons to do on this climber: steps, sly wheels, monkey bars and rings, cool slides, a funny wobbly slide, and all sorts of metal ladders. There’s also the spinning F-4 from Xccent Play which has four individually rotating pods.
THEN, there’s another section that has a big, interesting climber made almost entirely of ropes and is set on wood chips. 
THEN(part 2), there’s the play equipment for adults! Ok, so not exactly for playing but there’s some great outdoor gym equipment: Skiing and rowing machines and a reclined bike. It looks like there were some more too but are now empty spots. 

We walked past the Bocce courts and picnic tables to the gazebo where the toddler did a little dance to the music in his head, and we puzzled over the modern art. “It is pinchers! Like a crab!”

While the chalet wasn’t open there was a porta-potty and an outdoor drinking fountain. 

While you might find some street parking around, there’s also a small parking lot on Rue Matis. Another thing I really liked (because I’m a nerd) is the park sign with the history of the name and the Noël family.
