Richelieu Park

With a budget of 2.6 million dollars, this park was completely redone in 2008 with new paths and furnishings; pétanque; a community garden; a chalet, pool and wading pool; basketball court, and two new playground areas by Tessier Récréo-Parc. Most of the equipment is wheelchair accessible. (You can read about the changes HERE)

Partially fenced, but open at the back of the play area, the toddler zone is on a bright rubber base with adorable yellow concrete balls scattered around. They’re actually what caught my eye as we drove by.
There are talk tubes that work, baby swings, and a play structure from GameTime. This climber is easy to access with stairs, a crawl tube, big-ish slides, ladders, and a steering wheel. My kids also enjoyed making themselves nauseous on the spinny saddle seats.
Just across the low fence is the big-kid area which is all on wood chips. There’s a large climber with great slides, a rock-climbing wall, a stand-up spinner, and lots of ladders and rungs; as well as more yellow balls and adults swings.
Both play areas have benches around the edges.
