Rousseau Park

“WHAT is THAT?” is pretty much what we all said about the bizarre yellow ball/tube contraption. We had run up the path after parking on Place Rousseau, and we all just stopped. It’s fun to find new and creative climbers and rides and this is one we’d definitely never seen before. This play structure by HAGS is the Woop from the Agito line.
And although it looked exciting from afar, there wasn’t all that much to do on it. There was something to hold and spin, a rope….thing, the hard-to-turn yellow balls, and a ladder of sorts to get to the non-slide. (It’s one of those “slides” where the kids have to hang their legs OVER the sides and hope they don’t fall off.)
The boys did enjoy the Playmotion X-Wave and took turns trying to break each other’s teeth, while I yelled “Stop it!”

In the toddler section is a fun climber by GameTime with stairs, slides, a small climbing wall, steering wheel, and a “restaurant” at ground level. Older brother and I had to buy a LOT of muffins and pay with piles of sand.
There is also a “HANG-ON!” Gyro spinner from Xccent Play with circle pods at different heights, but even with those only the big kid could reach while his little brother laughed and laughed.
Big and baby swings and everything is close together so both kids were able to play in the different sections while I scooted back and forth. There is fencing but NO gate.
It was full sun while we were there though there are some nice big trees and grass areas, and shade along the path.

2016’s Mondays in the Parks program starts here on June 27th from 6-8pm.
