Saint-Benoît Park

We had to come back, as our first time around the school next door had been using the playground during recess and it was PACKED.
We re-visited on an early summer Saturday morning, and had the place almost to ourselves, except for two adorable toddlers who asked me 37,000 questions, and then patted my knee for a minute. Too funny.

There are two good playgrounds here, right beside each other, and both on wood chips.
The section for older kids has a great cable climber (though a little frayed), and a metal course-type thing with monkey bars and balance beams. There are also eight adult swings in the wood chips. It’s sort of fenced, but with huge open sections.
Right next door is the toddler area with a fun play structure, a couple of spring riders, some awesome boulders to climb (over and over and over), baby swings, and a separate sandbox. The play structure has stairs, a bridge, crawl tube, ladders and slides. All three toddlers (mine and the two cuties) had no problems getting around on their own.
Again, there is some fencing – along the road and up the side – but then it’s open to the rest of the park.
Close by is the teensy-tiny splash pad, drinking fountains, and a small chalet that had no opening hours posted 🙁
You can find the splash pad hours HERE! (scroll down to Horaire – Jeux d’eau)

Things to note:
-There’s a large dog run and a small basketball court (one net). Both of which I didn’t photograph. Sorry!
-Street parking is available on Rue Meilleur, right in front of the playground.
-The park is used by the adjoining school, so it may be quieter on weekends and during the summer than when school in is.
