Serres Park

NOTE: This park is scheduled for renovation in 2017. The original post from 2015 is below, stay tuned for an update!

It took three tries, but we finally made it to the park.
On our first attempt, I thought Google Maps was lying and trying to send me down a driveway, so I decided to get to Thornhill by way of de Salaberry, except that up there it’s a one way street.
U-turn!
Back to where Google Maps said to turn, and ok, it was right.
This seems to be a pretty bizarre place for a toddler park. Across the street from a seniors’ residence, behind West Island College, and on a street with no houses. I guess there are some houses to the east, but it doesn’t seem like a “neighbourhood park”.
Anyhoo, this tiny little playground has a great toddler climber from Landscape Structures!
Stairs, ladders, a pod climber with a handrail, steering wheel, a rubber “bridge”, and FIVE slides.
We played on the climber for quite a while because it was so toddler-friendly, then hopped aboard the two ride-ons (a whale and a horse), and swing-ed (swing, swang, swung???) a bit in the baby swings.
A strange location, but a fun time!
***There is no fencing by the road, and not too much shade when we were there around 10:30am.
