strollerparking.ca started as a little site in June 2014 and as of May 2021 we’ve visited and played at almost 1000 parks and playgrounds in and around Montréal, Québec. We’ve also delved into indoor activities and sledding hills! The site has been featured on CBC radio and CBC and Global TV, newspapers, and magazines.
My two boys are my favourite short people and to burn off their never-ending energy we walk, bike, or drive to parks in search of new adventures.
At strollerparking we don’t just want to see the best parks, but all the parks and playgrounds. So nope, not every park on here is amazing, or interesting. Sometimes equipment is broken, or the climbers aren’t accessible to toddlers, or your 8 year old might say “boooooring.”
And sometimes we find playgrounds that make us all go “WOW!” Hopefully you can find something that works for YOUR family!
Looking for a park with adaptive swings? Or one that’s fully fenced? You can look through the tags in the sidebar.
Your toddler doesn’t like sand? You can search for wood chip or rubber based playgrounds.
In the menu are sections for: Splash Pads, Sledding Hills, and Activities and the Playgrounds are divided into cities. Most of the splash pads and sledding hills have videos, and each park has a description, photo gallery (click to view full screen), map, driving directions, and a list of features.
Whether you’re moving to a new town and want to see what’s around, or are on a road trip and need a quick place to stop, or are like us and enjoy seeing new places, we hope the site helps you out. One of my favourite side effects of seeing all these parks is re-discovering the city where I’ve lived my whole life.
