Holy flashback back to 10 years ago. Ok, 20 years.
I used to live on this street during my first year of university, only this playground wasn’t yet built and I didn’t even like kids!
Fast forward to life with a toddler and 7-year old, and replace the beer with sippy cups.
Anyhoo, this fairly new park is compact but they’ve managed to fit in a decent-sized toddler climber from GameTime, big and baby swings, some stand alone equipment, benches and a picnic table.
It’s fenced on three sides but open near the path running between roads, which is frequently used by students walking to and from classes at John Abbott College or MacDonald High. On our last visit to this park it had been full of daycare kids, but on a warm fall day we were the only ones there.
The play structure is geared towards little kids and everything is scaled down in size. There’s a bubble climbing wall, metal-rung climbing wall, little stepping stones, and kids can access the slides by a staircase or metal ladder. Older kids will probably be unenthused, but they can play on the spinning seat, the balance beam, or the never-seen-by-us-before inclined web crawler.

This is a new afternoon favourite of ours. Great afternoon shade everywhere except for the swings.
