Wait a sec, hadn’t we already been to Duval Park in Pierrefonds?
We had, last year, and there’s another completely different section that is named the same thing. Not confusing at all.
So this is Duval Park, take two!
We much preferred this one to the first park off Rue Desrosiers (you can see it HERE). This playground has some shade, shrubbery, and a bit more style. Also, there is a toddler and a big-kid section with climbers in each.
AND, a huuuuuuuuuuge long soccer field that, maybe because of the blue skies and puffy white clouds, made for a really pretty view.
Just off the small parking lot on Rue Orchard and up a little hill, you’ll find both sand play areas. There is no fencing and it’s all quite close to the parking lot and road.
There are benches around the toddler section, lots of blooming shrubs (what is the fluffy pink one? I want it!), and some big trees giving shade to parts of the playground.
The toddler area has a small climber from GameTime with stairs, a twirly slide, and a mini rock climbing wall. There is also a teeter-totter (with a broken seat), and baby swings. There was minimal shade here when we were visiting about 10am but it probably changes throughout the day as there are some big trees on the south and west sides.
Across the brick path is the big play structure, the RockScape® Arch, a stand-up-and-hang-on spinner, and the big swings. The climber has all sorts of metal rungs and ladders, a couple of slides, but no stairs.
This park just needs a little bit of TLC as it’s quite pretty but needs to be weeded or roto-tilled.
p.s. I sent off an email to the city about the broken seat.
There are some sledding hills at the southern tip of the park, on the edge of the soccer fields.
