Our third time in a year trying to play at this park!
Our first time there were too many kids to be able to take pictures, and then recently we were blocked by a construction crew….putting up new equipment!
We hadn’t been able to make out just WHAT they were redoing so this time we were able to check everything out.
It’s a good little neighbourhood playground with a mix of old and new equipment.
The new: the toddler climber from GameTime. Not very big, but nice and shiny with a staircase, little stepping stones, a tic-tac-toe wall, steering wheel and slides. It’s on sand.
Also new are a couple of spring riders; a metal duck (I always thought these were so old-school, but nope, still making them in 2015!), and a stylized dumptruck. And the big swings are new and TOO SMALL FOR MY BUTT. Or wait, is my butt too BIG for the swings!
The older equipment is a high stand-alone slide with stairs; a climber with very steep stairs (don’t walk DOWN them), a twirly slide, metal ladders and a double slide; the baby swings and a teeter-totter. The climber, ride-ons and slide are on wood chips, while the swings are on sand.
The park is fenced but not gated and has some shade (though none over the toddler climber).
