True Story: Eleven-ish years ago my boyfriend and I were desperately trying to find a parking spot anywhere near St. Denis to make our dinner reservation, I think it was at that fondue place, but anyways… It was like an HOUR of circling and swearing, followed by “Do you want to just go home and get Dagwoods?”
Which is how my wedding proposal took place on the couch, with Dagwood sandwiches, during a commercial break of Law and Order or something.
The point of this story? We must have driven past this park a thousand times oh-so-many-years-ago. Maybe it was good luck?
Trying to get to this park, there was once again, ZERO motherflucking parking nearby, so I parked illegally totally legally and watched the car, while watching the toddler.
This is a pretty great little park just off a really busy intersection. The playground is fully fenced but with open gates, so be verrrrry careful if you have a runner.
Both big and little kids have their own space with two great play structures (stairs for the little guys), swings, and plenty of spots to sit including a picnic table. There’s both sand and wood chip bases.
If you’re sightseeing, or going to one of St. Denis’ great restaurants with kids in tow, this park is a pretty great pit stop to let them run loose for a while!
