NOTE: In the council meeting from January 12th 2015, 1.2 million dollars was put aside for redoing parks, including this one. Exciting! We’ll be back……
Apparently we visited this park too early in 2015 as it was supposed to be getting redone in the summer. So, ignore the post below and we’ll come back in 2016 for a peak!
“And we’re done. Back in the car!”
Let me backtrack a bit.
I was hoping for something interesting here as I LOVE parks on the water (as long as there’s safe, runner-proof fencing). This park had the fence, but not the “interesting”.
There was a sort of climber from Miracle Reacreation, but nothing for my 2 year old to do. There’s a spinning log roller to stand on, some swinging bongos to walk across, and monkey bar rings.
And then there’s greenspace with benches, some mature trees with woodpecker holes, a view of the water (“Geese!”), and poison ivy.
“Back in the car!”
This is probably a good “after dinner” park to just play frisbee or something, but don’t come here for the playground.
And don’t touch any vegetation.
