de l’Orée-du-Bois Park

This little neighbourhood park has some cute equipment, a covered gazebo with benches, and is nicely shaded. But… when we visited in early fall last year, it was almost all covered in tons of sticky cobwebs, and the toddler play structure was just filthy. Like, the little one refused to even try it out.

I suppose that’s the trade off for being so shady?

If you’re here on a uh, cleaner day, the climber has stairs and slides, and a trail of steps close to the sand. There’s also a double-kid dinosaur spring rider and two adult and two baby swings nearby.

The large play structure for older kids was replaced and there are now (mostly clean) new products from GameTime spread into a small obstacle course. There are wine leaves to climb, rings to cross, and ladders to scale. Kids can also play with the ground-level gizmos and practice their sign language with the instructional panel.

Things to note:
-The park is shady, BUT many of the ash trees seem to be infected and I suspect some will be taken down.
-The park is fenced on two sides.
-Street parking is available.
