Augusta Park

A nice little park with a fully-fenced and gated toddler area (on sand) and a separate big-kid climber on wood-chips. The toddler climber has a staircase AND ladder, with slides and a lookout window. There is also the cute theatre area (like at Valois Park) with seats in front for the “audience”. Kiddos can put on a puppet show, trace the alphabet with their fingers, or pretend to be a dinosaur! The baby swings are also in the fenced area.

Just steps away and within sight is the big climber which has a  couple of metal ladders and a twirly slide. But, it’s not toddler-friendly unless you can fling them up there. In the same area, there is also a separate snake-like monkey bar climber and the big-kid swings.

New in 2023 is the “mini” splash pad. A great addition to this area, the splash pad is fully fenced and gated, has a surprising number of water features for its size. There are large boulders and wheelchair-accessible tables right beside all the action, a large washroom, and a changing room so you don’t have to hide behind a tree. Woohoo!

You’ll also find a ping pong table in the middle of the park. I’ve seen it in use almost every time I pass by! You can also find ping pong tables at Pointe-Claire’s Hermitage, Northview, and Seigniory parks.
  • Things to note:
  • The splash pad is on from 9am-9pm. Touch the sensor to turn on the water. It will turn off automatically.
No fencing around this part of the playground and it’s fairly close to the road, though separated by some boulders and trees.
  • Fairly good shade over most of the equipment and there is a tiny greenspace adjacent, though again, it’s right beside the road.
  • Bonus: A dep across the street will fulfill your water/coffee needs.
