Day 6:
The Bunnykins bowl. A gift for our first born, this bowl is pretty enough to be passed on as an heirloom, and sturdy enough to be used every day.
It’s now had about 7 years of use, and the colours are still vivid and there are no scratches or chips.
The one we have is bone china and is:
- Dishwasher safe
- Microwave safe
- Chip resistant
The story behind the Bunnykins line by Royal Doulton is pretty interesting. It originated from artwork by a nun, who was the daughter of the general manager of Royal Doulton during the 1930s. You can read the history behind the line HERE.
I like that the bowl is flat on the bottom, and heavy so it isn’t tippy. It’s the perfect shape for soup, stews, cereal; or can be used as a plate because the sides are fairly straight.
I know the bone china ones used to be sold at Birks, and you can also find them at The Bay.
