Beauséjour Park

How exciting! This was our first park in Ahuntsic-Cartierville and it was so nice!
We had struck out at the two parks in Perrefonds West we’d been planning on visiting (I love being harassed and sworn at by 5-year olds from their balcony!), so we crossed under the 13 and wandered along Gouin Boulevard. To be honest, I didn’t even know WHERE Ahuntsic-Cartierville was, so I was surprised when we checked the map. 
And what a great intro to the area 🙂

This park reminds me of a smaller version of DDO’s Centennial Park. There are bike trails from the Parcours Gouin route going through it, a gorgeous view of Rivière-des-Prairies and Laval, a pretty good playground, and places to picnic and bbq. 
You can rent kayaks, though they weren’t available when we visited on a Monday late afternoon. 

The playground is under some large trees with great shade and has a good climber from GameTime, three metal spring riders and curiously, baby swings but no big swings. 
The climber has stairs, all sorts of ladders and rungs and steps, a metal crawl tunnel, and slides. The little guy found it easy to walk around and climb. 
While the playground was ok there was a LOT of litter lying around. Gross. Pick up your garbage people! What’s the problem?!

We walked past picnic tables and benches and looked at the great view and waved at ducks and boaters (none of them waved back 😉 )

There is a section for bbqs with receptacles for used charcoal. And while it wasn’t open, there is a small casse-croute (I put a pic with the hours in the photo gallery). There are also drinking fountains and a porta-potty. 
We parked in the tiny lot right at the entrance to the park and walked north along the wide path.
