I’m going to go with Google Maps over Vaudreuil’s website and call this Parc Félix-Leclerc. Who knows…..
I’d staked out which two parks we were going to visit in this section of Vaudreuil, and having not been this way in years, WOW has it changed. On our original list was Parc Jean-Jacques-Bertrand, but it was overflowing with kids AND the splash pad wasn’t on (obviously since it was April), so we switched plans in mid-stride.
This parc has a great view of the lake and Oka in the distance. The river is across busy Chemin de L’Anse, but there is a large greenspace with multiple picnic tables and benches. It is beautiful and would be a great choice for a pitstop. The playground itself is just down the path that leads from the parking lot. It is pretty simple with a toddler climber by Quebec’s GO-ELAN with stairs, tunnels, slides, tic-tac-toe wall and a couple of activity panels. There’s also a picnic table, and some swings.
My older guy was fairly bored so we didn’t stay very long. This is good as an after dinner park time, but I wouldn’t drive out of my way to get here. Also, no shade.
The view though…the view (from the parking lot) is great!
