Drive north up Montée de l’Église, hang a left at Chemin du Bord du Lac, and you’ll find this tiny park on the corner of Terrasse Martin. It’s hard to see because the play equipment is tucked in the corner behind the trees, but it’s there!
Itty-bitty, it’s been completely redone and is less than a year old. And it’s got the CUTEST nature/fairy tale play structure. I like that they chose something different for this spot. The GameTime climber is geared for kids 18 months – 5 years and has two sides. On one side there’s a staircase, small slide, and the Ridge Climber. Cross the chain ladder and you’ll get to the “mushroom house” with a steering wheel, slide and multiple metal rungs going down into the sand.
What’s really neat is the spin-the-wheel feature. Give it a whirl and then search the climber for the pictured critters and leaves.
“Found it!”
My little guy loved the spring rider with its elf? gnome? riding a bunny image.
“It’s santa!”
“I think it might be an elf”
“It. Is. SANTA!”
ok then.
Besides the play structure and one spring rider, there are two baby swings. No swings for older kids. There was some nice shade with mature trees, and a couple of benches. No fencing, but it’s a ways back from the road. And I’m not if there’s much activity here as everything had a nice layer of cobwebs. Maybe we were the first visitors ever! Probably not.
When you’re done, I suggest driving west along Bord du Lac and you’ll see farms and farm animals. It connects back to the bridge.
