We’re on a quest to finish all of Ile Bizard’s parks! A few more to go…
This is a small park with three different access paths from the surrounding streets, and the playground is smack in the middle. It was completely empty when we visited, maybe because it was threatening rain (nothing stops us!), or because it was a sort of dozy afternoon. Anyhoo, we enjoyed the little GameTime play structure with its easy staircase, rock to climb across, slides, and the ground-level activities like the twirly wheel, bongos, and musical tube (that we’ve never quite figured out.)
There’s graffiti on some equipment, including a badly-drawn penis on the dinosaur spring rider. Gad, if you’re going to do graffiti, you should have at least some artistic ability.
The rest of the play area has a rope climber, a tall stand-alone slide, and two baby and two big swings. Everything is on wood chips, and there is no fencing (though it’s pretty secure), and there will probably be no shade on sunny days.
It’s an ok after-dinner neighbourhood park, but there’s not a whole lot of anything for older kids.
