De l’Héritage Park

De l’Héritage just got a complete makeover, and it shows. It’s shiny, clean, and family-friendly with space for a variety of ages, and the bonus of a splash pad where there wasn’t one before.

The playground has a fun nature theme: with vine and butterfly climbers, flowers and dragonflies. There are slides, ladders, stairs (for the little kids), and interactive activity panels up high and down low. . It’s not huge, but it’s varied enough that both little kids and slightly bigger kids will find something to do. Baby, big-kid swings included, as well as an adaptive tandem swing, and a saucer swing.

The splash pad is right beside, which makes it easy to bounce back and forth between playing and cooling down. The nature theme carries over into the water features, and there’s enough spraying, dumping, and misting to keep everyone refreshed on a hot day. Bonus, there are loungers and picnic tables right in the middle of all of the action.
While not a “destination” park for people across the island, for locals? It’s a solid win!

Things to note:

  • Splash pad hours: 9 am to 9 pm
  • Wood chip surfacing around the play structure (stroller-friendly-ish).
  • Benches and a couple of picnic tables, and some shade around the south and west sides from the giant mature trees.
  • There’s a chalet, but the bathrooms weren’t open, so I wouldn’t count on them.
  • Street parking only.
  • Lovely tennis AND pickleball courts!

De l’Héritage Park is one of Kirkland’s nicer recent upgrades. If you live nearby, this will probably become a regular stop.
