Westwood Park

Another Dollard park that we really enjoyed.
We were in a bit of a hurry to get home, but ended up staying here longer than we’d intended because it was really fun!
Two fairly new climbers for big-kids and toddler. The toddler GameTime play structure has a slanted rock staircase, or regular staircase making it easy to get up; some cute little benches underneath and something we couldn’t figure out, and where the steering wheel should have been. It kind of looked like a microphone so we yelled into it and that seemed to work. Then I had to be all “STOP YELLING!”
The larger structure has tons of metal rungs and ladders, slides, sky wheels, and the Cosmix Climber wall to cross from side to side.
In the sand there’s also a too-tall-for-toddlers big slide (but it does have easy-to-climb stairs), a vomit-inducing spinny chair that the big one liked, swings for all, some really great seesaws for 2 and 4 kids, and a ride-on ATV that’s always a hit with my guys.
Some kids before us had made a nice sand castle so I spent a while trying to stop The Destroyer from wrecking it. It was still intact when we left. I swear!
Bathrooms were open AND there’s a water fountain outside the chalet. Thank-you Dollard!
Beach volleyball, soccer, fields, beautiful tennis courts, and basketball round out the amenities. There are also two parking lots, one near the beach volleyball court, and one just in front of the chalet and tennis courts.

We’ve been at this park at the end of the afternoon and there wasn’t much shade. But the super sunny day when we visited in the morning there was TONS of shade over the whole play area.
