This park is quite the mélange of all sorts of things. There are:
-New play areas for toddlers and big kids,
-A dog park,
-Winter ice rinks
-The municipal pool and a wading pool (not open when we were there in late fall),
-Bike paths,
-6 tennis courts on synthetic surface and a practice wall,
-Spots to sit and relax,
-And a new ping pong table.
The two playgrounds were redone in 2018 and both are quite interesting. For older kids it’s all about the ropes and cables, and they can figure out a course around without “touching the lava!”
The spongy flooring also has brightly coloured hopscotch.
Closer to Boulevard de l’Île-des-Soeurs and the bike path is the new toddler playground. The colourful surfacing is inviting to little ones, and easy to maneuver around. There’s a nice semi-circle of ground-level panels including a musical panel that was sadly already missing its mallet 🙁 Nearby is an adult swing, an adaptive swing, and the fantastic Expression tandem swing.
The cute play structure has great stairs with a transfer station, double slides, a couple of ground-level panels, and cute stumps to stomp across.
Things to note:
-Neither playgrounds are fenced, both are on on artificial surfacing, except for the swings which are on wood chips.
-There is a parking lot right in front of the pool at the end of Place de la Fontaine street.
-When we visited there was a wheelchair accessible porta-potty near the playgrounds.
-There is a water bottle filler right near the toddler playground.
