A quiet tree-lined path leads through from St. Louis Avenue to the south end of Voyageur Park. The playground is impossible to see from the street but you can also access the park from Avenue du Voyageur where you’ll find a small parking lot.
There’s a big-kid section on cedar chip base with a spider web, swings and a climber (no stairs). The climber from GameTime has an interesting wall to scale, chain ladders and some cute plastic stepping stones leading to the spider web.
The separate fully-fenced and gated toddler playground also on a wood chip base that has a small sand section with a bench.
The toddler park has a fairly small climber by Jambette with a ladder (again no stairs), and double slides. I like that there is a wall activity to play with at the top. I think they’re baby chicks?? Besides the two baby swings, the only other equipment is the spring-rider by Kompan.
Beside both parks is a big greenspace/soccer field with a jogging track, which turns into a skating oval in the winter (couple of pics in the gallery below). There is also a new basketball court.
This park would be nicer without the industrial buildings behind it, but despite the location, it is quite quiet and pleasant.
From Pointe-Claire’s website: Come and enjoy our skating oval located around the perimeter of the soccer field at Parc du Voyageur.
Please note that this oval is designed for skating only; hockey and ringette are strictly forbidden.
Opening hours: Everyday – 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
