Formerly Hutchison Park, this newly redone playground was renamed Parc Yvonne-Maisonneuve in honour of the late founder of Le Chaînon.
This itty-bitty toddler playground has been completely renovated and was completed in spring 2017. There’s new fencing, two tables (one accessible), benches, a new retaining wall (check out the beautiful artwork on the alley side), and all new playground equipment from Kompan’s natural wood Robinia line.
This is a really small park, so there’s not a ton of equipment, but you’ll find two spring riders, a seesaw, two baby swings, and a mini wood and rope climber.
We were there in the early morning and there was good shade provided by the adjoining building. Which also made for tricky picture-taking! Note that while there’s fencing, there are two open gates.
Parking is available on the street, but read the signs very, very carefully.
If you’re looking for a larger park, there’s the AMAZING Jeanne-Mance Park just north up Parc Avenue.
