From the street this park looked a little ho-hum, but when we got up close it was a lot better and the play structures are actually pretty good.
This park has two play areas, as well as a tiny splash pad, which unfortunately was undergoing some repairs when we were visiting. BUT, we did see that it’s quite small, with a butterfly sprayer, a cute concrete frog, and a couple of ground jets. There’s no fencing.
The area for big-kids has TWO large cable climbers, adult swings, and good play structure with ladders and slides. This part had some fresh wood chips (that always remind me of gerbils.) Just steps away is the toddler section with two small play structures. They’re both easy to climb, with either stairs or low platforms, and have slides, ladders and rungs, low-to-the-ground monkey bars for the shorties, and a climbing wall. Nearby is a dinosaur spring rider, a saddle spinner, and the baby swings.
Things to note:
-Splash pad hours are listed HERE. The water should be on from 8am-11pm.
-There’s a nice open-sided building with benches, but it was FILTHY when we visited.
-Parking is available on Davidson or Darling, but as always, check the signs carefully!
