What a lovely park!
As you can tell by the photos, it was really, really early in the park-ing season, but even without any leaves on the trees, this playground and splash pad were super cute and picturesque.
There’s a lot going on here: Two great playgrounds, an adorable nature-themed splash pad, greenspace to run around on, lots of benches and picnic tables, and even an outdoor fitness circuit.
The two playgrounds are perfectly age appropriate, with just enough challenge for all kids.
The older kids section has an elaborate play structure from Playworld with all sorts of spinners, ladders, rungs, and two slides; with four adult swings nearby.
The toddler area has another Playworld climber with easy-to-climb stairs, smaller slides, crawl tube, ladders, and a twirly slide. In the sand below are some cute animal spring riders, a spinner bowl, a separate sandbox, and four baby swings.
Nearby you’ll find the small splash pad with its tall spraying trees and cattail. Touch the sensor on the top of the green post to start the water sequence.
The rest of the park has a Trekfit fitness course, and there are lots of picnic tables for, you know, picnicking.
Things to note:
-The big-kid playground is on wood chips, while the toddler playground is on sand.
-The park is mostly fenced, though there are openings near the road.
-There are tons of mature trees around the park, so there should be some shade during the summer.
-There was no bathroom, but summer images from Google Streetview show a porta-potty during the hot months.
-The splash pad hours are 9am-9pm, you can find more info HERE.
